3-Ingredient Crispy Cool Ranch Pickle Chips
3-Ingredient Crispy Cool Ranch Pickle Chips
Ingredients
- 20 dill pickle slices, drained, blotted dry
- 3 oz. shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 oz. crushed Cool Ranch tortilla chips (approximately 1/3 cup)
Instructions
Step 1
Position oven rack in center. Set oven to 400°F (200°C) and let it heat up. Preheating is key for crispy chips. Wait until oven signals it's ready before moving on.
Step 2
Lay out pickle chips on parchment-lined baking sheet. Arrange them in 5 rows and 4 columns, filling up rectangle space of 11" x 8 1/2". Make sure chips don’t overlap for even cooking. Ready for next step when grid looks good.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Drain pickle chips well, pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. Spread pickles in single layer on baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes, until slightly dried out and edges start to curl. Keep an eye on them; you want them crisp, not burnt.
Step 4
Remove pickle chips from oven. While still hot, evenly sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over chips. Crumble tortilla chips and scatter them on top of cheese. Return to oven for about 5 minutes, until cheese melts and everything is golden. Keep an eye on it, cheese should be bubbly but not burned.
Step 5
Bake until cheese melts and bubbles, about 7 to 10 minutes. Keep an eye on it; look for that gooey, golden finish. Once done, carefully transfer chips to wire rack. Let them cool for a few minutes before slicing. This helps flavors settle and makes them easier to handle. Enjoy those crispy, cheesy bites!

My Tip
Pat dry pickle chips well before baking. Extra moisture makes them soggy, not crispy.
Leftovers
Store leftover pickle chips in shallow, airtight container to keep crust crispy. They last up to 3 days in fridge. Reheat in oven at 350°F for 5-7 minutes to restore crunch.
Make It Your Own
Swap Cheddar for Pepper Jack for spicy kick. Add jalapeño slices for extra heat.
